Back in April, Nokia shed light on a trio of its mobile phones namely the C3, C6 and E5 models. Through these inclusions, the company plans on endowing users with a more enhanced messaging and social networking tools. Now the Symbian OS based Nokia E5 has sailed onto Indian shores.
Mobile aficionados can look forward to five-way Navi key with soft keys, end, call and volume keys as well as dedicated home and messaging keys. Chatting with friends and family is further made easy through the employment of the classic QWERTY keypad. The Nokia OVI center offers required applications that come ready with the phone.
Precious moments can be captured through the device’s 5MP camera. The E5 also boasts of various data connections such as HSDPA, GPRS, HSUPA and EDGE. The tri-band phone further supports WLAN and GPS while offering operating frequencies of WCDMA and GSM. Highly portable in nature, the latest Nokia model weighs just 126g with BL-4D 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Users can access and reply to all their business and personal mails as the device supports POP3, SMTP, IMAP 4 and Nokia Emails. For GSM, the company provides 7h 30m talk time and up to 600 h standby time. The talk time and standby time for WCDMA is noted to be up to 4h 50m and up to 545h respectively.
Besides sporting all these enticing features, the E5 will also come drenched in various hues such as chalk white, silver grey, carbon black, copper brown and sky blue. However the device is currently only available in chalk white and carbon black. The company has tagged the E5 at under Rs. 13,000.

NOKIA C7 ~ 20,500

Nokia has started shipping Symbian^3 mobile operating system based Nokia C7 smartphone. This smartphone has an all aluminum design with 3.5-inch display. Nokia C7 offers two microphones, one of which is used to active noise cancelling and capturing audio while video recording. The phone is priced at 335 EUROS (Rs. 20,500 approx.) and in India, it is expected to arrive either by the end of this month or early next month.

Appearing to be an older brother to the C6, the new Nokia C7 will have 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive screen (360x640) with ClearBack display technology for better viewing and touchscreen interactivity. Its built-in 8GB internal memory and bundled 2GB memory card promise enough space for loading multimedia content. If you need to pass on files to friends, make the best of the Bluetooth 3.0.

Inside the phone lies 680MHz microprocessor based on ARM11 microarchitecture with graphics processor supporting OpenVG 1.1 and Open GL ES 2.0 support. This means you can enjoy better 2D/3D graphics based games that will run comparatively faster than the Symbian 60 series phones.

Mobile web browsing might get a bit better due to Flash Lite 4.0 and Web Runtime 7.2 which come along by default. Powered by 1200mAh battery, the C7 promises talk time of up to 9.6 hours over 2G GSM networks.

As of now, Nokia India hasn't announced the official price of this smartphone. Considering its European prices, we assume it might be priced anywhere around Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 24,000 approximately in India. One can choose Nokia C7 from Frosty Metal, Charcoal Black and Mahogany Brown colors.

It has been a while since we heard about Intel’s Gigabyte M528 and now it’s finally available for pre-order. We were expecting it with arms wide open, but we were very disappointed to see that we would need $1131 to get one. This is way too much for most of our pockets, but for those who afford it here are some of the specs - 800MHz Atom processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB SSD, 4.8” LCD panel 800×480 with touch panel and for networking 802.11b/g via SDIO I/F, HSDPA mini card module and Bluetooth 2.0 via USB I/F.
We saw that the initial price for this first Intel Atom based MID was about $1461 and we really can’t understand why, but if you interested check out the TegaTech Australia.
